There were less deer for hunters this deer hunting season. Wes Gould, the Game Warden for Keokuk and Washington County, says hunters have reported seeing less deer than previous seasons. He says there are a number of reasons for the lower numbers.

Hunting and Fishing Licenses from the DNR are now on sale for 2012. Only resident licenses are available now, non-resident licenses will be available January first.

Officials shot a mountain lion in Western Iowa last week. Mountain Lions are no longer common in Iowa, although they were before Iowa was heavily settled.

-looking for 6 – 8 men or women who would like to hunt with our group for the 2nd shotgun season. We will be hunting a 6 mile radius of Brighton. Both in Washington County and in Jefferson County.
