Columbus and IMS split in girl-boy doubleheader

The Columbus girls got an exciting win over IMS for the Wildcats first win of the season. Columbus got a free throw from Chelsey Smith with 14-seconds left and Rachel Pierce found Alex Villagrana for a layup with eight seconds left as the Wildcats won 41-38. For Villagrana the last second layup was part 14-points for her in the game. Villagrana also brought down six rebounds. Kelsey Lyon had 9-points and Heaven Chandler had eight points and 4 steals. Emma Yutzy led IMS with 16 points.

The fourth ranked IMS boys outscored Columbus 24-6 in the first quarter on their way to a 75-35 win. Freshman Chance Miller ended up with 18 points hitting four threes. Brant Kapple had 12 and Ethan Gingerich and Peyton Thompson each scored 10. IMS improves to 6-0.

Demon boys win on the road at Keokuk

The Washington Demon boys went to Keokuk looking to remain unbeaten and got the win 63-51.

Demon girls get key conference win

Four Demons in double figures in win

The Washington Demon girls had four girls score in double figures as they scored close to 80 points in their win over Durant in Washington. The Demons put up 27 points in the first quarter in route to a 77-42 win.
