A workshop for swine producers called “Managing Your Unseen Employee: The Ventilation System” is to be held in Washington on Wednesday, March 20th at the National Guard Armory.

Iowa State University Extension swine specialist, Tom Miller explained that the workshop will have hands-on demonstrations in an enclosed mobile ventilation facility which has variable speed fans, inlets, a curtain, controllers and monitoring tools. The classroom sessions will include the basics of ventilation systems, effective temperature requirements, troubleshooting tools, techniques and other ventilation issues.

The free workshop will run from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. with lunch provided.
