Two Henry County men who escaped a correctional facility in Burlington have been apprehended. At around 9:30 last night the Henry County Sheriff’s Office and Winfield Police Department located 21 year old Michael Carpenter of Mt Pleasant and 20 year old Bowe Cook of Winfield at a residence in the 300 Block of South Oak Creek in Winfield. Both had escaped a Burlington residential facility and had active warrants through the Department of Corrections. After items were found during their arrest Cook was also charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, while Carpenter is charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
