Edwards Trial Begins Tomorrow

The trial of a man accused of sexually assaulting a fellow inmate in Washington County Jail is set to begin tomorrow. Washington County Attorney Larry Brock says they’ll begin with jury selection, and could possibly get to opening statements in Rudolph Edwards’ trial. Edwards, a 42-year-old from Country Club Hills, Illinois, is charged with Sexual Abuse in the 3rd degree. The assault was reported to have occurred on July 16th, 2011 at the Washington County Jail.
