A few factors are keeping natural gas prices at their lowest level in 7 years. Justin Foss with Alliant Energy says additional exploration in the states and new technology has led to the discovery of large supplies. He shares that due to this, the majority of gas used to heat your house is coming from the United States. He says lower demand due to the recession drives that price even lower. Foss explains homeowners are seeing lower heating bills, because the cost of the gas makes up most of the bill.
