A special remembrance is planned this evening in Washington for those people killed in a Connecticut elementary school last week. Citizens of Washington and the surrounding areas are invited to the candle light vigil at 6 pm for the Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown.  On Friday morning, Iowa Governor Terry Branstad asked for a moment of silence state-wide.  That time marked one week since the deadly shooting.
