Information has been released on a two vehicle accident that occurred after last weeks winter weather. According to the Henry County Sheriffs Office last Thursday a car went into the ditch on the Henry Jefferson county line on US 34. Muhammed Tariq Akram of Fairfield returned to remove it the following day and while he was parked on the shoulder another vehicle driven by 21 year old Alexis D. Brown of Illinois City, Illinois lost control on the snow covered road and spun into Akram’s vehicle and came to rest partially in the ditch. No injuries were reported. The damage to Brown’s car was estimated at $5,000, while Akram’s vehicle sustained $2,500 in damage.
