A park in Washington has been getting attention from the city. The city parks department has been adding amenities to the relatively new Watertower Park on the east side of town.

A few projects for city parks have received grant money from the Washington County Riverboat Foundation.  Superintendent of Washington Parks Tim Widmer says that one project was part of a larger effort to improve athletic resources.

The park has a soccer field and little league field.  Widmer says the park board has also discussed adding walking trails.
