Washington to Purchase Recycling Dumpster for Downtown

Downtown Washington residents will soon have a large recycling dumpster available for their use. On Tuesday, the Washington City Council approved payment of 55-hundred dollars to Luke’s Sanitation for a recycling trailer to be put in the alleyway behind the public library. The payment does not include the cost of Luke’s doing the additional work of dumping the recyclables. An amended service contract will be discussed at a future meeting.
