Description: The Washington Public Library is sponsoring The Mitten Tree. Please donate new mittens, gloves, hats, scarves, and socks to be given to local children and adults in need this holiday season. Donations should be dropped off at the library by Friday, December 14.

Description: A support group for parents with special-needs children is starting in Washington. It will offer support, free lunch, clothes, and a food pantry. They will be meeting on Monday, December 3 and Monday, December 17 from 11 AM to 1 PM at 1506 5th St in Washington, formerly the New Oaks Nazarene Church. The December 17th meeting will feature a Christmas dinner and celebration with gift baskets. Call Angie at 319-591-8064 by Monday, December 10th to register.
