A local golf course is gathering funds for an overdue renovation. The Kalona Golf Club is currently raising the $100,000 needed to replace their irrigation system. According to General Manager and Superintendent, Nick Leach, their 120 members have already come forward with about $50,000, just 45 days into the fundraising. Leach says the drought conditions of the past few years have made the need to replace the struggling 30 year old system clear.
