Residents for a Better Richmond Inc. has filed a lawsuit against the Washington County Board of Supervisors. According to Washington County Auditor, Dan Widmer, the lawsuit is in regards to the Board of Supervisors approving an amended and substituted joint agreement with Regional Utility Service Systems that included a project note, which the lawsuit refers to as a loan agreement, that guarantees R.U.S.S. will be paid for the work they’ve done, if the County decides to halt or not to go through with the Richmond lagoon project. Washington County Attorney Larry Brock says the Board of Supervisors is currently looking for the best way to address the lawsuit.
