The City of Kalona will be showcasing some new equipment they recently acquired. City Administrator Ryan Schlabaugh says that when a Kalona fitness center decided to liquidate their inventory, the City purchased about 90% of it. Their purchases include treadmills, stairmasters, ellipticals and weightlifting equipment. This Saturday from 1 to 4pm they’ll be having an open house to allow the public to come in and see the changes and additions they’ve made at the Community Center. Schlabaugh adds it will also allow residents to see their rates and specials they’re offering.
