Among the needs for the Washington Maintenance and Construction department are a new pickup truck, and a new roof on two of its sheds. The department’s superintendent J.J. Bell told the city council this week that several higher-dollar capital equipment needs may have to wait for funding to be in place.  For example, he says the city’s street sweeper will need to be replaced soon, but that is roughly a 175-thousand dollar cost.
