Posted: October 18, 2012 @ 6:24 am In Today's Local News
Iowa Mennonite School students will be out in the community tomorrow raising money for their campus. Director of Development Larry Swatzendruber says that for the past 30 to 40 years, IMS has set aside a few days each year for the school’s Student Aid program.
He shares that students do work in the community for wages that help with various programs at IMS. He says that while some kids work at normal jobs, its mostly odd jobs for members of the community, ranging from raking leaves to running errands.
Swartzendruber says it’s a good opportunity to get students out and interacting with the community.
