Food Drive Planned to Celebrate School Homecoming

[1]A state university is holding a food drive next week in preparation for their homecoming events. Nancy Adrian with the Washington County Extension says the Cytennial Celebration “Cans for Cookies” is taking place next Friday from 8:00-4:30 where a bakery fresh Iowa State cookie will be given in exchange for every canned food item brought to the Extension office.
She says the goal is to collect 100 canned food items for the HACAP food pantry. Adrian adds door prizes will also be available next week. For more information, contact the Washington County Extension.
