Squad Car Auction Tomorrow in Columbus Junction

A squad car will be auctioned off in Columbus Junction tomorrow. According to City Clerk, Julie Heindal, the auction will be held right before tomorrow’s City Council meeting.

She says the car has already been replaced and adds the City usually auctions off unneeded vehicles instead of trading them in. Heindal says she’s already received 5 or 6 bids for the 2007 Chevy Impala.

Bidders will be able to raise their bids once. A public hearing on the proposed levee project will follow the auction.
