The asphalt portion of Kalona’s 2012 street improvements begins tomorrow. According to City Administrator, Ryan Schlabaugh, road work on the 13^th Street cul-de-sac, portions of D Avenue, H Avenue and 9^th street will start tomorrow. The work is expected to be done on October 19^th.  The asphalt work is being done by Hanson Asphalt out of Iowa City for around $166,000. The work is not expected to cause any detours.
