Non Irrigated Crop Land Values Increase Over Last Year

The cost of renting non-irrigated farmland in southeast Iowa is on an upward trend from last year – this according to the annual Cash Rental Rate report from the USDA. Last year, Washington County’s rate was $192 per acre. This year it jumped by $29 to $231. The statewide average also went up this year to 235 dollars.
The rental rate for pasture in Washington County rate decreased by $5.50 from last year to $41.50, with the statewide average remaining the same.
