The library in Kalona is participating in a national effort to get residents a library card. Director of the Kalona Public Library Ann Skaden shares September is national Library Card Signup Month.

She says the Kalona Public Library is encouraging everyone to get a card by coming to the front desk with a photo ID and driver’s license with a current address.

She adds that if you already have a card, but you lost it or its been damaged, you can get a new one this month free of charge.
