Latest Southeast Iowa Drought Conditions Show No Change
Posted: September 21, 2012 @ 6:30 am In Today's Local News
Southeast Iowa received half of an inch of rainfall last week and the drought conditions have remained the same. This part of the state is still considered as severely dry according to the latest information from The National Climatic Data Center. Across the entire state conditions haven’t changed as well – with two-thirds still being classified as severely dry.
Forecasts are calling for an equal chance of precipitation the next two months which could bring some relief to the drought. KCII will continue to monitor the drought conditions across southeast Iowa.
