IMS Volleyball Gets Two Wins Against Tough Competition

The IMS volleyball team competed at the Mt. Vernon tournament on Saturday, and finished seventh overall.

IMS went 2-3 in the tournament, winning matches against Mid-Prairie and Tipton, and dropping matches to Center Point Urbana, Mouth Vernon and Columbus Waterloo.

Olivia Yutzy once again led the team in kills for the team with 28, with Laura Hochstetler finishing close behind with 26.

Casey Perez dished the ball to the attackers with 60 assists, and Kristin Davis had 40 digs for IMS in the tournament.

Head coach Cindy Miller says seventh was a good place for the amount of competition that was there, and that the high serving percentage of Hochstetler and Keilah Brokaw helped IMS do as well as they did.

IMS plays next on Thursday against Mediapolis.
