Little rain provided a solid week of harvesting for southeastern Iowa farmers. According to the USDA’s latest Crop and Weather Report corn continues to be harvested in this part of the state, with almost 40% completed.  Corn conditions continue to decline with 50% now rated as poor or very poor. Soybeans are starting to fall behind last year’s progress and the five year average, but the majority of the crop is still in fair or better condition.
