Kalona will apply for grants and consider bids at the City Council meeting tonight. The City Council will be considering the City of Kalona and Kalona Volunteer Fire Department’s application for a $250,000 Washington County Riverboat Grant for a new fire truck.

The Council will also discuss and consider picking a one of the bids for asphalt received last week. The asphalt is for the street projects in the city. The Council will also talk about the closing of B and C Avenue for the Kalona Celebration this Saturday.
