A member of the Washington County 4-H program has been chosen to represent Washington County at various state events.  Gene Mohling, Regional Extension Education Director with the ISU Extension says Lauren Carter from Washington County was chosen as one of 40 teens to serve as a 4-H ambassador not only here in Washington County but throughout the regions they represent in the state.

He adds they will also work at the Iowa State Fair, plan the state 4-H Youth Conference and serve with the Iowa 4-H Foundation.  The teens were inducted during the closing ceremonies of the 2012 Iowa 4-H Conference last week.
