Keokuk County abided by House File 524 and moved funds at their Board Meeting Monday morning.

House File 524 was signed by Governor Branstad in early April and has to do with Assessors budget and eliminating the special appraiser’s fund. At the meeting money from that fund was moved to the assessment expense fund.

According to Keokuk County Auditor Christy Bates this Act makes things in the department run more efficiently.
