Changes Coming to Some Jefferson County Bridges

Bridge inspections in Jefferson County show that a few changes need to be made.

Bridges on Elm Avenue southwest of Packwood, 220^th street east of Batavia and Grasstree Avenue over East Branch Lick Creek will have their ratings changed.

Also the bridge on Umber Avenue over Rock Creek will be closed. If the recommended low water crossing is constructed on Umber Avenue, the estimated cost is $90,000 to $95,000. The 2012 Bridge Report was presented to the Board of Supervisors at their last meeting.

Bridge on Elm Avenue, about 1.4 miles Southwest of Packwood; unnamed creek; Post at 8 tons.

Bridge on 220th Street, about 1.5 miles East of Batavia; unnamed creek; Post at 6 tons.

Bridge on Grasstree Avenue, over East Branch Lick Creek; Post at 20 tons.
