Board of Supervisors Discuss Future Public Health Location

The Washington County Board of Supervisors held discussion regarding the future location of Washington County Public Health as part of their meeting yesterday.  This discussion was prompted by the selling of their current location in the Federation Bank building.  Edie Nebel with Public Health says they have looked at possibly moving into the vacated TruValue store on West Madison.

This location offers 9375 square feet.  The County will be contacting a contractor to find out how much it would cost to rehabilitate the interior of that building.

Approval was given for two mini-grant applications to the Washington County Riverboat Foundation.  These applications are for equipment to be used by the Secondary Roads Department.

Discussion of a voluntary annexation for land with the city of Washington to house the new Kirkwood-Washington Center was also held.  This annexation involves eight acres of land on Lexington Boulevard.
