Area fire crews had a busy day yesterday.  According to the Washington County Safety Center, crews from Wellman were sent to a fire near South English to assist in putting out a fire on 125th Street.  The second call was for the Brighton Fire Department to battle a blaze east of Brighton.  The Brighton Fire Department, Brighton First Responders, Washington Fire Department, Wayland Fire and Rescue, Washington County Ambulance, Washington County Sheriff and Alliant Energy responded to a shed on fire at 1706 Highway 78.  Last night crews from Washington put out a fire behind the residence at 707 East Washington Street.  The Washington Police Department and Alliant Energy Crews responded to the scene.
