Kalona City Council held their meeting Monday night. The Kalona Historical Village request to hold a wine tasting as part of their Fall Festival was approved. Street closings for Kalona Days were also discussed. 5th Street from A Place to C Avenue will be closed, along with B Avenue to 4th and 6th Street.

The Council meeting also went over the city’s debt limit. According to City Clerk Karen Christner the debt limit is set at approximately 7 million dollars and the town is well under that limit with their total debt at around 3 million dollars.
