Future Growth of Washington Open House Draws Good Crowd

A big group of people gathered to hear about the future growth of Washington last night.
[3]Lorin Ditzler from RDG Planning and DesignRepresentatives from RDG Planning and Design gave a presentation about the city of Washington’s Comprehensive Plan. This plan update which was started in October showed different ways of improving the city over the next 20 years.

Some of the plans show locating the Wellness Park in the southwest part of town and building trails and road extensions to connect it to other parts of town. The plans also include building more sidewalks and other development to entice more growth into the community.
When the plan is completed, RDG will present them to the city which the city will then decide what projects they would like to do first.
