The Izaak Walton League of America held their annual handicapped fishing event at Marr Park yesterday and many turned out to have fun.  This event provides an opportunity for a handicapped person to experience the recreation of fishing.  One participant, Ed Jones says he really enjoyed catching his eight and a quarter inch bluegill.

He says he enjoys fishing because it’s really fun and likes the meals that are cooked.  Following the fishing, a pork burger meal was served and several prizes were awarded.  This fishing event has been sponsored by the Izaak Walton League since 1948.
