Big Sand Mound is opening its doors tomorrow, something they do only once every three years. Big Sand Mound Nature Reserve is 510 acres owned by Monsanto and Mid American Energy.
Connie Veach, Environmental Coordinator with Monsanto says this is a chance for people to come and see the unique conservation area. There will be an opportunity to take a tour of the reserve as well as a chance to talk and learn from specialists in natural resources and ecology.
Those interested in participating should be at the Monsanto Rec Building in Muscatine at 8am for registration. More information on the day’s activities can be found at naturallylouisacounty.com.
