Scholarship applications are still being accepted from female college students in need of financial help to complete her education. Teresa Swift, with Just Us Girls, says a $500 scholarship is being offered to a Washington County female who has been out of school for at least one year.

Anyone applying should have some musical involvement in her community, be enrolled in a college or vocational school, or have plans to do so in the near future.  Swift adds the scholarship will be applied to tuition costs at any accredited institution.

The application deadline is Wednesday, August 1st.

Applications can be picked up at the Washington Kirkwood Center, Washington Public Library, Wellman-Scofield Public Library or the Kalona Public Library and to find out more, contact Teresa Swift at 653-2328 or email tmswift@hotmail.com [1].
