About 20 people took part in a roundtable discussion about opportunities and challenges in rural Iowa yesterday morning.
USDA Rural Development State Director Bill Menner along with Congressman Dave Loebsack visited Washington to talk about those topics during a roundtable discussion at the Washington County Extension. Menner says why he holds these meetings.
The major topic of discussion held during yesterday’s meeting was regarding housing repairs for older citizens. Menner says these concerns are shared with other government officials and is always appreciative when items are presented.
