The 100th anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic was Sunday, but Saturday people had an opportunity to learn more about the liner and experience some aspects of it.  Columbus Junction Public Library Director Cathy Crawford says a total of 70 people came from various locations from Wapello and Grandview to Washington and Kalona.

She says the audience listened to Columbus Junction resident Rosemary Harris tell the story of the unsinkable Molly Brown as well as view different exhibits and posters about the ship.

Also on display were models of the Titanic built by eight students in grades three through six from Roundy Elementary School.

Crawford says this was the biggest crowd they have ever had at one of these events.
