The Riverside City Council met last night, and at the meeting funding for TrekFest was discussed, among other things. Carol Riggan with the Riverside Area Community Club requested $918 for TrekFest. TrekFest is held in Riverside, which is the birthplace of the fictional Captain Kirk of the Star Trek series. It will be held June 29^th and 30^th this year. They also held a public hearing for the vacation of Lot 7, Block 1 and heard an update on the hiring of a Deputy City Clerk. The meeting was last night at 6:30 in Riverside City Hall.
