Around 8:30 this morning, the Washington County Safety Center received a report of a missing 16 year old juvenile from rural Wayland.  Personnel from the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, the Henry County’s Sheriff’s Office and the Wayland Police Department responded.  Around 10:30, the Safety Center received a report of a subject fitting the description in the area of Highway 22 and Vine Avenue near Riverside.

The juvenile was reported to be in possession of a weapon by law enforcement personnel arriving at the scene.  The roadway was closed for a short time and the situation was resolved without incident or injuries.  The juvenile subject was taken into custody and KCII will bring you more information as it becomes official.
