Governor Branstad has appointed 30 Iowans to the District Judicial Nominating Commission. This commission interviews and selects nominees to the District courts in each of Iowa’s 8 districts. Steven Berger of Wellman has been appointed to district 8A, and Elizabeth Garrels of Mount Pleasant and Catherine Miller-Sands of Wapello have been appointed to district 8B. The appointments became official yesterday and will continue until January 31^st of 2018.
