The Stockings for Soldiers Project has stopped taking donations. The collections being taken by US Bank in Washington and the Family Readiness group are now being prepared for local soldiers serving overseas. Pam Thomas at US Bank tells us they collected about five boxes of letter writing materials, hot chocolate, gum, chapstick, and other items. Those items were collected yesterday and are being put into stockings to send overseas. The stockings should get to our local soldiers by Christmas.
