Compensation Board Discussing Salaries Tonight

[1]The Washington County Compensation Board is holding their first meeting tonight. Washington County Auditor Bill Fredrick says the purpose of this meeting is to determine the salary levels for elected County officials. He says the Iowa Code directs the Compensation Board to recommend proposed salary caps each fiscal year.
These caps would affect the Board of Supervisors, Sheriff, Auditor, Treasurer, Recorder and Attorney.
The Compensation Board is meeting tonight at 6:30 in the Board of Supervisors meeting room in the Washington County Courthouse.
