Area youth participated in an event recently to learn more about the 4-H program.  Amy Green Washington County 4-H/Youth Coordinator says those in attendance were able to enjoy a snow dunk and 4-H snowman design contest.

She adds they also learned about the different projects 4-H has to offer including a community service project that was completed for area nursing homes.

The youth also made gifts for family members.  4-H Youth Committee and County Council members presented this event.

Green says if anyone would still like to enroll in 4-H, they can contact the Washington County Extension office.
