In regional final volleyball action last night, the last Southeast Conference school was knocked out. The Fairfield Trojans were playing second ranked Solon in Demon Gym. It was a lot more competitive than the score may show but the Solon Spartans won in three 25-23, 25-19, 25-19. The Spartans will head to the state tournament next week and in the quarterfinals, ironically face Union out of LaPorte City. Union beat the Solon football team on Monday ending their state football title streak at four.
