Washington High School is again participating in an event to raise funds and celebrate the struggles and triumphs of children.  Lynnette Kennedy, Mini Dance Marathon Business Chairperson says the Mini Dance Marathon Committee is asking local residents and businesses to donate in honor of the 18th year the University of Iowa Dance Marathon program.

Kennedy says the marathon provides “emotional and financial support to pediatric cancer patients and their families” treated at the University of Iowa Children’s Hospital.  Last year, Washington was the third top fundraising school where they raised over $4500.

The dance will take place Saturday, November, 12th.  To make a donation, contact a member of the Dance Marathon Committee.
