Ninth grade students from the Washington Junior High School received a lesson in interviewing yesterday morning.  Jennifer Ott at Workplace Learning Connection says the students were able to work on skills like a solid handshake, introducing themselves with confidence, good eye contact and selling themselves.

Freshman Keenan Thyen says it was a new but fun experience for him.  He interviewed with Kayly Cansler from the Washington Wal-Mart who let him know that in the future he will need to have good eye contact, speak louder and go more in-depth when answering questions.

Cansler says she was impressed with the kids she interviewed and challenged all of them to be more thorough with their answers.  Several Washington area businesses participated in this event.
