Although Police Departments across the country are being forced to make cuts, the Washington Police Department says it has not had to reduce the number of officers it employs. Police Chief Greg Goodman says they hired one new officer a number of years ago, and have not seen the need to increase or decrease the size of their force. He says they have a good number of officers for the amount of activity in the area and don’t foresee any monetary reasons for making cuts.
