Washington County 4-H members have been helping area farmers stay safe during this harvest season.  During the month of October, 200 farmers have received “Stay Safe, Take a Break” bags which included items such as granola bars, bottled water, hand sanitizer, pain medications as well hand warmers and homemade treats.

Washington County farmer Lynda Miksch says the bags were packaged with the right items in mind to know what “could be needed.”  The Stay Safe, Take a Break bags were made possible by donations from local residents and businesses.
