Cropland Rental Values Increase

[1]The amount of cash rent prices for land in Washington County has increased over the last year. A new survey from the US Department of Agriculture shows that the average cropland rental rate in Washington County is up by 18% from 2010.
Across the entire state, south central Iowa saw the lowest increase at 6% where southwest Iowa saw the largest jump at 21 and a half percent.
Across southeast Iowa, Washington County had the highest increase in value where neighboring Jefferson County saw the smallest increase at 15%.
