The Wellman City Council called a special meeting to officially announce and approve an offer to the city’s new administrator.  City Clerk Donna Wade says the council approved a resolution appointing Mark Baker of Holstein, Iowa as Wellman’s new city administrator.

She says the council also entered into a contract and set Baker’s salary at $60,000.  Mayor Ryan Miller was also required to sign off on the contract.

The meeting took place this morning at 7:30 in the Wellman Municipal Building.
